Essay // Arsenal: Why Jack Wilshere’s Return is a Blessing

Jack Wilshere’s return from injury can only turn out positive for the Gunners, as they set to enter a crucial stage of their campaign. The loss to Norwich has heated matters up at the Emirates as Wenger looks for a steady rhythm in performance.

Even if the loss to Norwich that followed came as a shock, Arsenal seemed to be responsible for the own demise with a lacklustre display at Carrow Road.

The recent injury list at the Emirates has been limiting… CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING

Essay // Why Andrea Pirlo remains an incomparable master of finesse:

Here we are, the Euros have  concluded, and it might be fair to say June so far, has been full of excitement over a surprisingly unpredictable sporting drama in Poland & Ukraine.

Big names have been accustomed to the bitter slice of sporting reality, seeing the exit doors with their heads not always high. The ingenuity of experience got the best out of the lions, and veterans graciously sent an echoing statement in redefining their perceived image to the football industry.

Italy gave the world a taste of their very own brand of football throughout the tournament, ending in the final as underdogs to Spain. Their talismanic long-haired playmaker was once again believed to shine along with the scintillating Balotelli. Unfortunately for the…READ THE REST BY CLICKING HERE

Essay // Spanish heart & German blood – Why Mario Gomez would find « Love » in the most multicultural league on Earth:

The Euros have unleashed their magic over the nation of football and England have so far ensured the absence of grey clouds over moods. A totally different situation in Poland where their elimination not only saddens me as their efforts were phenomenal but takes a fair amount of excitement out of the tournament – now that Ukraine has also seen the exit door.

Racism has been occupying the headlines – as predicted – and it seems like the thin line between patriotism and jingoism continues to shrink, while the world comes to term with the reality over states of behavioral modernity in some parts of our planet… yes, even in 2012.

All that said, the game still in my mind seems…CLICK HERE TO READ

Essay // Staying put for Loyalty or Comfort?

The last few days, oddly enough, were full of passion and heart. Since the beginning of this era of materialism and modernism, acts of chivalry and loyalty has been hitting a low. Last I can remember was Andrei Arshavin clarifying that a foul was not committed – to everyone’s amazement, especially Arsène Wenger – upon being given a penalty. Somehow this week, declarations from the football world have shown how dignity in some men is still present. How many tongues will twist in the future? What are the true motivating factors? Those are other stories on their own.

For now, let us…CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING
